David was born and raised in Lubbock, Texas. He is an alumnus of Texas Tech University, with a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Science in accounting. After three years at Ernst and Young as a senior tax accountant, David joined CWA in 2009 as a tax preparer before transitioning into financial planning. In 2023 he was appointed partner. Since joining CWA, David has helped others become more financially literate through his work with the 3to1 Foundation.

David is a Certified Public Accountant, an Investment Advisor Representative and a member of the Texas Society of CPAs. As a volunteer with organizations like Visiting Orphans and Scottish Rite, he helps serve the local community. He also enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and three boys and cheering on the Red Raiders.
