With winter weather still lingering in most of the country, Miami was a beachy paradise backdrop for the Cain Watters & Associates 27th Annual Meeting.
As challenging as it can be to take a step back from personal and professional lives, this one weekend a year to focus on personal growth can be a breath of fresh air. Speakers came from across the country to share their knowledge on building a good culture in the workplace and at home, as well as investment hot topics like cryptocurrencies.
Friday kicked off with some unexpected excitement, when the general session ballroom was filled with music, and attendees were brought to their feet by the Miami Heat Dancers. Keeping the momentum up, Don Yaeger, acclaimed sports editor and writer, took us on an emotional journey of his experiences working alongside some of America’s greatest sports teams. Through his stories, he inspired the audience to make their team great by creating a winning culture within their own practice.
The next two days soared by with featured guest speakers like Michael Hall with Culture Index, theater and movie actor Michael Allosso and writer Alex Tacscott, with insight as to how blockchain technology can even impact the dental industry.
But, it wasn’t all work. Nights were filled with delicious food at gourmet restaurants and dancing.
Friday night The 3to1 Foundation held its annual fundraising gala where they hosted guests for an upscale and elegant evening at one of Miami’s finest restaurants, Stripsteak at The Fountainbleu Hotel.
The Annual Meeting dinner on Saturday night was one for the books. Attendees headed down to South Beach for a private event at Juvia, an upscale, ultra-modern American restaurant, settled on a rooftop with panoramic views of the city. After sampling the cuisine and cocktails, the music turned up and the dance floor crowded.
The evening’s highlight? A photo booth to capture all of the memories and fun that will go down in CWA history as another successful event.
It was a weekend filled with community, entertainment and rich education.
“Thank you to our clients, speakers and sponsors,” Partner Teresa Gast says. “We hope everyone enjoyed the time together with your peers, sponsors and financial planning team, and came away feeling more confident and assured in your journey.”
So, who is ready for 2019?
