Trevor Bates is an alumnus of Texas State University where he received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. He is an Investment Advisor Representative and Certified Public Accountant.

His career was set in motion at Grant Thornton, where he began as an intern and worked his way up to a senior associate in the state and local tax department. His time was spent preparing and reviewing tax returns, researching state and local tax issues and training new associates. He joined CWA in 2018.

“Managing both one’s personal and business financials can be extremely stressful.  Being able to take that weight off my clients and help them navigate through all the unknowns between now and retirement is truly rewarding.”

Trevor is extremely active in his leisure time and enjoys playing soccer, golf and basketball. He and his fiancée, Allison, are looking forward to getting married in February of 2021. They enjoy spending time with friends, family, and going on long walks.
